The central goal of this project is to make it easier to choose an irrigation scheduling method.
The history of irrigation scheduling research dates back to the 1970s, and the amount of papers published since then has only skyrocketed. While creating the dataset that powers the IrrigationMatch tool, over 300 papers were collected that investigated different ways to schedule irrigation all over the world.
However, each paper is hard to replicate. They usually describe a single farm, making their experiments hard for other researchers, irrigation advisory services, and farmers to replicate.
This recommendation tool provides a novel solution to this!Â
It helps you find the simplest irrigation scheduling method that is the best fit for your farm, based on our extensive dataset of irrigation management research!
